Hi there Intermedia-tarians! Welcome!
Intermedia I is a hands-on studio course designed to introduce a variety of approaches, methods, and processes at work in contemporary conceptual artmaking. These approaches include (but are not limited to) sound art, installation, video art, site-specific work, and performance. Through in class exercises, readings, presentations, and sustained projects, students will develop a critical vocabulary, historical grounding, and most importantly an individual approach to looking at and making work. This course satisfies the 3-D requirement for a B.F.A..
We meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 12:20. I look forward to working with you all, seeing your work, and reading your research!
